Opening ceremony and welcome reception
All delegates are invited to kick off their ECTH 2018 experience at the vibrant Opening Ceremony in the Auditorium. You will be welcomed by Yves Gruel (Host ECTH 2018 and President GFHT) and Frits Rosendaal (President of the ECTH board).  After the Opening Ceremony, meet with your peers and network with fellow congress delegates at the welcome reception.

Congress dinner
The congress dinner of ECTH 2018 offers a great opportunity to meet and network with other experts in an informal setting, while tasting some local specialities from southern France. The walking dinner will take place in a unique space showcasing both industrial and contemporary aspects: Friche La Belle de Mai! At its restaurant, Les Grandes Tables, you will enjoy a variety of fresh seasonal products with a lively DJ setting the perfect atmosphere.

Buses are  arranged from the congress venue to the dinner location.

Price per person is €60 incl. VAT.  A ticket can be purchased via the registration website.

Poster reception
During the poster sessions there is time to discuss with a drink and a snack. Those posters based on the abstracts that were valued highest will be introduced briefly by the authors during the poster reception on Thursday October 25, in the Poster Area: 17:00h – 18:30h.

Controversial corner
The controversial corner takes place on Thursday October 25, in the Poster Area: 17:30h – 18:30hDuring this engaging event, 8 speakers have 5 minutes each to make a controversial statement on topics related to Thrombosis and Haemostasis. We hope to see you there to debate and discuss your ideas on the topic.

Sport activity: pétanque
Location: Palais des Congrès – Marseille Chanot terrace on the 2nd floor .

ECTH 2018 invites you to play a fun session of pétanque during the third congress day. One of the most popular games in France, pétanque is played by throwing heavy balls as close as possible to a smaller target ball, while standing inside a circle with both feet on the ground.
